| With the physical education curriculum reform, the new Art and Physical Education items are walking gradually into the college physical courses, which include aerobics, dance, gymnastics, street dance, yoga and other projects. Compared with the traditional sport new sports art has the characteristics as strong performance, ornamental, artistic, and the timely, while which helps to strengthen Students'health and improve their aesthetic ability. Because of these inherent functions of Art and Physical Education programs which be consistent with the physiological and psychological needs of students, it has been widely developed in colleges .At present, colleges in many cities, especially in the developed cities, have gradually carried out this program. For Art and Physical Education programs developing smoothly in Fujian Province, this paper research the present status of Art and Physical Education programs in fujian's colleges. This paper will propose development countermeasures and provide basic theories for development of Art and Physical Education programs so as to lead college PE courses to be more scientific and reasonable, and be at service for excellent talents training of Fujian Province in Twenty-first century.With literature, questionnaires, interviews and statistics this paper surveys 46 teachers and 440 students as the research interviewees in 8 universities of Fujian. this paper researchs the present status of Art and Physical Education programs in fujian's colleges and firstly defines the concept of Art and Physical Education programs, and describes the characteristics and functions of Art and Physical Education programs, which followed by current situation of some colleges and universities nationwide, and finally analyzes the status of Colleges in Fujian Province and Development Strategies.The results:Firstly, Art and Physical Education programs are combining of sport and art, and in the accompaniment of music to limb as the main means for expression which is a kind of body movement including body posture, style, performance and other factors, so that practitioners fully demonstrated Sports emotion and spirit and enjoy, perform and create the beauty in order to achieve human health and harmonySecondly, Art and Physical Education programs are developing popularly in professional sports colleges, while which are developed well in comprehensive university. To the extent that students alike to carry out the program can we conclude that the prospects will be good, but there are many problems to be solved now.Thirdly, the current school physical education in Fujian Province have more types of projects ball and other traditional arts programs and projects in sports aerobics develop well, however arts and sports projects in the sports dance and artistic gymnastics lags behind in lack of diversity.Fourthly, there are problems as lack of sports art teachers, teachers of teachers need to be further improved, the majority of teachers switched from other majors. These teachers can only be engaged in aerobics instruction so that the sports teaching dance and rhythmic gymnastics could not well carried out.Fifthly, the project of Fujian College Sports Art have too much younger teachers, and a larger difference between the proportion of male and female teachers, female teachers account for 80% while male teachers only 20%, thereby further affecting the development and popularity of the sport.Sixthly, In the investigation of the 8 universities, the sports art project (aerobics, dance, rhythmic gymnastics) to carry out the teaching situation: in the main content of practice teaching, aerobics teachers, select the "Aerobics" and "self combination of aerobics"; Sports Dance kinds of teachers in selected Latin Rumba basic routine and just the basic routines; artistic gymnastics teachers to choose a simple standing exercises, there is no specific routine content. Content in secondary education, 75% of secondary teachers are not teaching aerobics content, 25% of the teachers select the "physical training" "equipment, strength training," etc. Seventhly, through the questionnaire we conclude that the students in our province need Art and Physical Education College Physical evaluation of the project learning to reflect their true needs and satisfaction. In the teaching content, teaching methods and other aspects of the validity are reasonable, but the material and facilities are still not meeting the teaching needs. Leaders at all levels and relevant departments must take it seriously.Development Strategies:Firstly, to enhance student awareness of Art and Physical Education programs, to update the guidelines of minds for physical education teachers, to comply with the standards of sports and the basic idea of the new curriculum.Secondly, to expand the setting and enrich the teaching contents of Art and Physical Education program, to meet the needs of the content, and to strengthen the construction of teaching materials and selection of materials suitable for students.Thirdly, to attach importance to extra-curricular sports activities and art projects, and to make use of sports associations in the organization to carry out activities for the students to create a good learning environment and form a strong sports culture. Fourthly, to optimize the traditional teaching methods and make use of modern teaching equipment; application of a variety of evaluation methods to improve the evaluation system and improve student interests in learning and motivation.Fifthly, continue to optimize the teaching staff and strengthen training for teachers, and to improve the professional level of teachers so that teachers achieve high teaching ability.Sixthly, combined with the actual situation of universities, we have to make efforts to improve teaching facilities for Art and Physical Education and provide material guarantee for the development of Art and Physical Education programs.
