| With the rapid development of higher vocational education, the input more and more becomes key factors that restrict to the development of the higher vocational education.Therefore, this study choose the input of higher vocational education of Gansu Province which is less developed province as example and analyze the higher vocational education which develops quickly from the input level. Meanwhile, this study compared Gansu higher vocational education with the whole country and the west province in total investment, the source of investment and investment spending. By investigating four higher vocational colleges, the study aims to point out the problem of investment in Gansu vocational education. The analysis displays; financial input of Gansu vocational education is limited, and the budgetary funding for education grows dull, so that the input at present unable to fill the surge of requests of higher vocational colleges; there is quite a few problems in the structure of input source ;the role that financial plays is not apparent ,the shortage of social input, high tuition fees, heavy financial burden on families; In investment spending, there is a large gap between education expenditure and infrastructural expenditure , and research expenditure is too low; Debt problems have become obstacles in the development of Gansu higher vocational colleges. So according to the actual situation in Gansu Province, the paper suggests increasing government input by formulating laws and policies firstly. Secondly, it also should subsidize students who study in higher vocational colleges ,alleviate the burden of students study fees .Thirdly, higher vocational colleges should take full use of own advantage to raise funds by servicing social. Fourthly, broaden the source channels of input and relieve funds pressure on higher vocational colleges. Finally, put government guide on education investment into fully play,and liquidate debt of higher vocational college.
