As an important part of my country’s higher education system,higher vocational colleges shoulder the mission of cultivating high-quality skilled talents and serving economic and social development.At this stage,my country’s economy is transforming from high-speed growth to high-quality development.The state has introduced a double-high plan to lead the high-quality development of vocational colleges,and the development situation of vocational colleges has also changed.With limited investment in educational resources,adapting to changes in economic and social development and achieving high-quality development of vocational colleges has become an important theme for the development of vocational colleges in the new era.It has become an unavoidable requirement of the times for higher vocational colleges to focus on scale expansion to high-quality development.In this context,the inputoutput situation of higher vocational colleges has gradually attracted the attention of all sectors of society.The input-output efficiency of vocational colleges is an important criterion to measure the development level of vocational colleges.As a major province of higher vocational education,Sichuan Province has 79 higher vocational colleges,which is the province with the largest number of higher vocational colleges in the western region and shoulders the mission of serving the economic development of the western region.Currently,higher vocational colleges in Sichuan Province are facing the problem of how to rationally use limited resources and how to improve the efficiency of input and output.Therefore,this article reflects the development level of higher vocational colleges in Sichuan Province by evaluating the input-output efficiency of higher vocational colleges in Sichuan Province.Through the analysis and evaluation of the input-output efficiency of higher vocational colleges in Sichuan Province,shortcomings and problems were discovered,and countermeasures to improve the input-output efficiency of higher vocational colleges in Sichuan Province were explored,so as to promote the high-quality development of higher vocational colleges in Sichuan Province.It serves the economic growth of the western region well,and ultimately serves the national economic growth and dual-cycle strategy.This article mainly uses theoretical analysis and empirical analysis to analyze and evaluate the input-output efficiency of higher vocational colleges.First,based on the analysis of higher vocational education,higher vocational education resources and the input and output concepts and related theoretical analysis of higher vocational colleges,the input-output efficiency of higher vocational colleges is defined,that is,higher vocational colleges educate in higher vocational education activities.The ratio of resource input to output provides a theoretical basis for constructing the input-output evaluation index system of higher vocational colleges.Secondly,based on the definition of input-output efficiency of higher vocational colleges,through the analysis of the characteristics of higher vocational education and the input-output of higher vocational education,construct the input-output efficiency evaluation index system of higher vocational colleges,which is a post-secondary vocational college.The inputoutput efficiency measurement provides the basis for the indicator system.Finally,30 higher vocational colleges of different nature and regions in Sichuan Province were selected as the research samples,based on the "Annual Report on the Quality of Higher Vocational Education Development" and "Report on the Quality of Graduate Employment" and other relevant data,using the DEA-Malmquist model to analyze The input-output efficiency of higher vocational colleges is analyzed statically and dynamically to provide an empirical basis for evaluating the input-output level of higher vocational colleges in Sichuan Province.On the basis of theoretical analysis and empirical analysis,this article mainly draws the following conclusions:(1)In 2018,the input-output efficiency of higher vocational colleges in Sichuan Province was relatively high.Some colleges and universities have problems such as irrational input structure of educational resources,insufficient scale of educational resources,and redundant input and insufficient output of educational resources;(2)The input-output efficiency of private higher vocational colleges in Sichuan Province is higher than that of public higher vocational colleges;(3)During 2016-2018,the input-output efficiency of higher vocational colleges in Sichuan Province showed a downward trend,and technological progress was serious Hinder the improvement of input-output efficiency of higher vocational colleges;(4)The input-output efficiency of higher vocational colleges is affected by the management ability of higher vocational colleges,educational resource input structure,technological progress,policy systems,and school-enterprise cooperation.Based on the analysis of the research conclusions,this paper starts from the system theory,puts the input and output of higher vocational colleges in the higher vocational education system,and combines the analysis results of the factors affecting the input and output efficiency of higher vocational colleges,and puts forward three suggestions :(1)Create a high-quality development environment and promote the high-quality development of higher vocational education;(2)Orderly coordinate the main body of the system to build a community of destiny;(3)Effectively coordinate the system elements to fully release the vitality of the elements.
