The Research On The Change Of The Occupational Structure Of Tourist Destination

In the 80s of the 20th century, with the springing up and development of tourism,the social structure has undergone tremendous changes in tourist destination. In theresearch, the occupational structure is regarded as a breakthrough point, trying toreflect the degree and track of social structure's change. Based on the comparedanalysis of Yang jiaqiao town and Guo jiabu town in Dunhuang City. The studyfocuses on explaining the motives and results which promote the occupationalstructure of tourist destination to change.First of all, the research selected two different time reference points which tookplace before and after tourism development, and the occupational structure of touristdestination----Yangjiaqiao town were compared and analyzed. Then the researchanalyzed the occupational structure of Guojiabu town which didn't implement thetourism development, analyzed and compared with the occupational structure ofYangjiaqiao town. Meanwhile we found that the occupational structure of touristdestination has undergone tremendous changes in the tourism development process,the most obvious feature is that the population of service occupation increased, whilethe population of agriculture occupation reduced.Secondly, from the universality and particularity motivations, the researchcomprehensively analyzed multiple motivations of the changes of the occupationalstructure in tourist destination. The author believes that the motivations of universalityprovide the guidance and protection function for the changes of the occupationalstructure in tourist destination, and the particularity motivations are the key factorsand direct reasons to promote their changes in the occupational structure.Based on the analysis, with the promotion of tourism development, the researchfound that the occupational structure of tourist destination has shown threecharacteristics: the occupational structure towards rationalization and high gradationas well as the stratum structure of residents toward a modern and reasonable socialstratum structure. Finally, this study also raised a number of related thought, hoping toform a good occupational structure pattern and fair, reasonable, social stratumstructure.
