With the advance of urbanization process in China, large numbers of rural land in urban suburbs have been expropriated, followed by the withdrawal of the village and the building of habitation,"Peasant-transformed Urban Residents"comes into being. However, after urbanization, the majority of new citizens have not fully realized that transformation from rural residents to urban residents. Their life style, idea, employment and social contact cannot integrate with the urban culture, which results in their failure of living harmonious with normal city life and have greatly affected their quality of life.This paper chooses a typical rural community "Yao River community" as a case, it will study the urbanization of Peasant-transformed Urban Residents from the perspective of community education, hoping to improve their overall cultural quality, achieve their transformation from rural residents to urban residents and help them to adapt to the modern city life. The construction of the paper as follows:Chapter one is the introduction, including the research background, research purpose, relative definitions, current researches and research methods.Chapter two is related to the theory of this article. That part is led by the concept of lifelong education and discusses the main theoretical foundation from three aspects: modern community theory (community construction and community development), the curriculum development pattern (orient on community developing demand) and adult learning theory.Chapter three is the survey research. Firstly, we do basic situation analysis towards the selected case "Yao River Community". Secondly, based on the questionnaire, we investigate the new citizens'adaption to city life, their needs of learning and the analysis of their barriers to adapt to urban life, as well as their current need of community education. Thirdly, empirical investigation and analysis to the case. From the research on current status of community education to the survey of the status analysis, the paper reveals the major problems of the community education. Chapter four is the strategic analysis. From three points: to strengthen the propaganda and boost public participation; to establish a scientific community education curriculum system; to carry out a variety of community education activities, the paper bring forward the strategies on community education of"Peasant-transformed Urban Residents"Chapter five is the conclusion. The part states the limitation of the present study and offers follow-up researches.
