The Research On The Peasant's Urban Adaptation Of The Process Of Urbanization In Chongqing

The urbanization is the inevitable result of economic development of China's economy and society; it is an inevitable choice of development. Chongqing municipality, as the only city directly under the jurisdiction of Chinese government in the west, is a typical city with dual economic structure, the rural population, which has a great proportion of rural population. The peasant problem is directly related to the development of social economy. In Chongqing 11th "five-year" development planning, expanding urban development spaces and accelerating the urbanization construction strategy have been proposed. With the acceleration of urbanization, accompanied by rural farmers' moving to cities, urbanization process has begun.Lost-cropland peasants' adaptation indicate that the land-lost farmers who lost their land and occupied some sorts of different social role after they removed from rural to urban. This kind of change of environment and the social role definitely force them to change in economic life, social interaction, values, etc, in order to adapt to the new urban social environment, so as to achieve and maintain a kind of coordination or balance.This research uses the method of questionnaire survey and case studies, and through the investigation in the Yubei district, Huixin district, and Beibei district. This study carries out the research in the dimension of economy, society and psychology, and study the condition of adaptation of peasants in the city.Firstly, the writer figure out that land-lost farmers are in a low status of employment, which directly affects their income and expenditure, even makes the peasants get the poor adaptation in the aspect of economy, and also lead to their difficulty in the aspect of communication, and then the communication problem definitely impacts the formation of ascription and the transformation of the value conception.Secondly, though the peasants' age, education level, land lost time, and income level and other character may affect their condition of urban adaptation, their urban adaptation have the features of economy fringelization. close social life, unadapted mentality and so on. So they are in an elementary and low stage.Based on the research conclusion above, this paper rationally analyzed the reasons of impact of land-losing farmers' adaptation to the city, and put forward some countermeasures, which refer to resolve the problems from the Angles peasants and society.
