The Proposition on Education of DengxiaopingAbstractThe Proposition on Education of Dengxiaoping is an important part of the theory of Dengxiaoping. During the course of constructing the socialism with Chinese characteristics, Dengxiaoping had inherited and developed Marxism theory on education when he probed and answered the issues of what socialism was and how to construct socialism. He put forward specific series on educational reibrm and advancement in Chinese new period, which from many different angles revealed the educational problems and fonned a series of socialist proposition on education with Chinese characteristics. This proposition has brought, and will continue to bring profound effect on China's educational reform and development This thesis superficially inquires into the theoretical origin, logical construction, theoretical system, theoretical value and practical significance of Deng's educational proposition.In view of the theoretical origin of the proposition, it is the inheritance and development of Marxism's educational theory, and also the scientific system which comes down in one continuous line with ft. Marxism believes: in terms of social nature and class attribute, education has class character, which is decided by social relationship, so the refonn and development of social relation will certainly lead to the educational cliange of social nature; In terms of education and economy, education is restricted by economy as well as contracts and pushes forward the development of social economy; In terms of the all-round way development of human beings, it refers to the tree and hamionious development of all die abilities of integrated human beings, the combination of mental work and physical labour, the consistent development of their ability and physical power. In terms of tlie relation of education and labor, the joint of the two is an indispensable requirement for the development of modem science and technology, and a unique way of training human beings an all-round way development. All these theories on education of Marxism have become tlie rational core of Deng's proposition, which at Hie same time has been endowed with new ideas.Tlie logical construction of the proposition refers to his train of thoughts when Dengxiao-Ping concerned tlie issues of education and tlie inner logical relation of its theoretical system. There were three train of thoughts on Deng's concerning the issues of education: The first one is to start from China's national affair on education, emancipating the mind, seeking truth from facts, and linking Marxism's educational theory with China's national aflair on education. The second is to proceed from education's position in theiiimodernized construction of socialism, combining education and technology with modernization. The Ihird one is to start from the law of education itself and find out education should follow what way to develop. From the viewpoint of the inner logical relation of the entire theoretical system, Deng's proposition has united his strategic propos tier and his tactic proposition, which was fixed by his basic judgment on educational issues. Studying the logic of this propositwn will rdp us, from ttescientirksetu^ Deng's fundamental essences.By studying its logical construction, we can divided this propositron into two parts: strategic proposition and tactic proposition, of which the former can be divided into strategic construction and strategic objective of educational reform and advancement. Deng emphasized that edicatwn should be placed at tfie prior stage, and he proposed that education should open to the world, open to the future and open to the rrodemization, and to attain the terminal aim of nurturing more talents and enhance the whole nation's quality.
