The dissertation directly proposes the idea of independent construction of theoretical system for graduate students' moral education in order to break through the embarrassment of graduate students' moral education reality and to broaden the vision for its study.This dissertation, taking Marxist philosophy and the views of scientific development as the guide and the study of pedagogics, psychology, administration and moral education as its foundation, elaborates on the problem of graduate students' moral education in four parts, which bases itself on reality and faces its future,.The first part is the elaboration on the development of graduate students' moral education. It briefly introduces the development of graduate students' education with the focus on the history of graduates' moral education, which has been divided into three stages—politics education, thought and politics education and all-round development education.The second part is the elaboration of the reality of graduate students' moral education. It points out six serious challenges graduate students' moral education faces—internationalized education, modernized country, network, "westernized", "polarized", quality education and employment pressure and five misunderstandings in cognition, theory, mode, phenomenon and thinking which have been presented in 21 sub-divisions.The third part is the elaboration of the theoretical system of graduate students' moral education. It mainly demonstrates that graduate students' moral education is an independent system from undergraduates' moral education. It particularly argues the necessity and. feasibility of constructing the theoretical system of graduate students' moral education independently and then proposes 15 construction principles of independence, breaking, joining, background, object, aim, world, times, future, layout, foundation, focus, comprehension, special topic and demonstration.The fourth part is the elaboration of the aspects of graduate students' moral education which especially focuses on the six important elementary theories. In the intension part of graduates' moral education, it justifies the view of macro moral education and claims that graduate students' moral education should meet the needs of both graduates' self development as a group and the development of the society. In terms of the position of graduate students' moral education, it argues that graduate students' moral education holds the important strategic position in determining the future and fate of the country, which should invite the attention of the whole society. In the content part, it sets off from the needs of graduates' moral education as a group, claiming that presently graduate students should be educated with Marxist philosophy, the unity of responsibility, power and probity, policies for graduates, core value, moral capacity and science spirit. In the part of principles, it proposes and elaborates on the five basic principles of symmetry, integration, democracy, socialization and modernization. In terms of the subject of graduates' moral education, it puts forward the idea of composition of the subject which emphasizes the interaction between subjects and objects while in regard of the object, it analyzes the essential features of contemporary graduate students' moral education as a group which are generalized into five advantageous and three disadvantageous ones.The dissertation for the first time proposes the idea of independent construction of theoretical system of graduate students' moral education and regards it as the way out in reforming contemporary graduate students' moral education. The proposal of the problem and its elementary achievement will surely impel the study of graduate students' moral education in China.
