Middle school English class teaching is confronted with many problems mainly as follows :excessively emphasizing knowledge inclucations to students, regardless of the abilities of students' using English.the developments of students' potentials and the integrate moral quality.The resolution of them relies heavily on an effective application of the aesthetic education into the English teaching,for it has its overwhelming advantages in developing students' protentials.So it is very necessary for us to construct the Aesthetics of Middle School English Class Teaching(AMSECT for short)in order to solve the problems mentioned above.First,the thesis analyses the conception of AMSECT,which is described as a harmonious state among teachers, students and teaching intermediaries in English class.also a image for view and admiration among the true.the good,and the beautiful.Then,the thesis advances the purposes,functions and the characteristics of AMSECT. As far as purposes are concerned, AMSECT is to realize the unity of the true,the good and the beautiful of English teaching,to foster the students' integrate personality.As for tunctions.they are mainly to improve students' fostering.congnition and dehghtment with appreciation of aesthetics. As for AMSECT'S characters,the vivid,the harmonious.the united and the creative are obviously embodied.And then,an analysis of deficiencies in AMSECT is done showing the main deficiencies in the aesthetics of subject-oriented cducation.the creation,the minds and the sentiments,the freedom of learning and so on.The reasons for these deficiencies are in the meanuhile mentioned in the part that follows. They are mainly connected with teachers,students,curriculums and teaching materials (textbook),teaching evaluations and so on.Finally,the thesis touches upon the principles and channels in order that we can well implement the AMSECT.Four principles are considered to be necessary to implement the AMSECT.They are:the permeability, the harmonization the peculiarity,the transference of emotion and the manifold unity.As far as channels are concemed,they arerto improve English teachers' aesthetic quality and creative ability, which are of vital importance;to deepen and beautify the teaching contents;to consummate the teaching process;to be skillful at multimedia systems, especially computer-assisted instruction(CAI); to perfect teaching evaluations.Accordingly, some innate contradictions of the present education system should also be seriously tackled so as to consolidate the aesthetics of middle school English class teaching.
