In the teaching and learning activities, the harmony is not only a kind of guiding ideology, but also is a dynamic process and a tiptop state that is pursued by teaching and learning. The harmony teaching and learning is a kind of mutual effective activity which includes the "teaching" of the teachers and the "learning" of the learners, which are united dialectically in the process of harmony teaching and learning. But in the practical teaching and learning activities, people usually just emphasize the function of "teaching", whereas, they often neglect the active participance of the learners who should be the subject of the learning. Therefore, "teaching" and "learning" are led fall into fragmented and unilateral situation. Because of this, teachers become disgusted with teaching and learners become disgusted with learning and the disharmony of "teaching" and "learning" appears. It is very hard to achieve the best benefit of teaching and learning.The disharmonious factors that prevent teaching and learning from achieving the best effect also exist in the adult teaching and learning activities, especially in adult classroom instruction. For example, the deviation of the value, the tendency of general education, the alienation of "teaching" and "learning" and the reversion of the subjects of the teaching and learning, etc. The existence of these disharmonious factors prevents the quality of teaching from improving and adult education from developing seriously. We will try to establish a kind of mode to reduce, even eliminate these factors to achieve the harmony and unity of "teaching" and "learning" in the process of adult classroom instruction.In order to illustrate the theory on adult harmony teaching and learning, it is necessary to arrange the essential categories which are relevant to this theory. They are namely the harmony, the harmony teaching and learning and the adult harmony teaching and learning. The adult harmony teaching and learning is a kind of teaching mode which may make the rhythm of "teaching" approach, adapt and harmonize the rhythm of "learning" and make the "learning" rhythm of the adult learners keep the same pace with the "teaching" rhythm of the adult teachers gradually, which make the adult classroom instruction achieve the most benefit according to the requirements of quality education in the adult classroom instruction. Compared with the ordinary classroom instruction, it is focalizing, complementary, integrate and aesthetic.The formation of any theory is closely related to the other science and every one has its own theoretic foundation and objective evidence. The appearance of the adult harmony teaching and learning is based on philosophy, psychology, systematic science, social science, management science and efficacy science. The quality crisis of the adult teaching and learning, the developing requirement of adult education, the innate demand of adult education and the essential request of the teaching and learning activities have provided objective foundation.Since a system-info has appeared, how should we construct it? The construction of the adult harmony teaching and learning system includes three parts mainly. The first one is the proposition of the harmony teaching and learning. The second one is the strategy of the harmony teaching and learning. The third one is the state of the harmony teaching and learning.Constructing a theory, we should analyze and illustrate its basic propositions and values. There are four elementary propositions of the adult harmony teaching and learning: "teaching according to the teachers' instruction", "teaching according to learning", "learning according to theteachers' instruction" and "learning according to learning". The subject of the first one is the teacher and it is based on the understanding to itself. While, the subject of the second one is also the teacher and it is based on the understanding to the learner.
