Research On The Evaluation Of Teacher's Teaching In Vocational High School

As an important form of secondary vocational education, it's essential for vocational high school to improve the educational quality to exist and develop. For teacher's teaching is closely related to the educational quality, the evaluation of teacher's teaching is an important approach to assure the educational quality.By using investigation, interview and literature research, this paper analyzes the present conditions and problems of the evaluation of teacher's teaching in vocational high school in china, involving having no systematic and typical evaluation system vocational to evaluate teacher's teaching; stressing "quantity" and "result" while neglecting "quality" and "course"; lacking in feedback from examination. All of the above problems mainly result from knowing little about the traits of vocational education, simplicity of management and so on.On the basis of analyzing the particularities of teacher's teaching in vocational high school, the paper points out that it's necessary to evaluate teacher's teaching according to different types of teachers and then decide on principles to evaluate teacher's teaching in vocational high school, which include associating unity with classification, letting teachers evaluate and supervise what they're familiar with and so on. In order to enhance the operation of evaluation, the paper illustrates and proves in details the evaluation plan including aims, contents, weights, criteria and methods, then establishes a second-order system of indices to evaluate teacher's teaching characteristic of vocational educationAccording to the results of pre-test, the plan has so high reliability and validity that it can be used in practice to evaluate teacher's teaching in vocational high school.Finally, the paper ponders over the shortcomings of the evaluation plan and how to perfect it.
