At present, there are three defects on composition teaching in middle school. Firstly, teachers teach composition only by their experience and intuition. Composition teaching lacks the guide of scientific theory. That leads to its threeweakness------ intution, deceit and secret. Therefore, composition teaching needsreasonable reformation. Secondly, composition teaching breaks away from the life and real feeling of the students. As it is only delt with as a formula, the students lose themselves, the teaching is becoming false and empty. Thirdly, composition teaching is regarded as the only aim in the teaching for examination. That is bad for training the students' ability. In order to overcome the defects of composition teaching, we must know "What's composition is". The core of composition is the course and outcome of information conversion. So composition teaching must agree with information in accumulation, assimilation, appearance and foodback. The construction of composition teaching is the key of overcoming its shortage. Composition course contains accumulation of information, assimilation of information, appearance of information and foodback of information. Information accumulation is the teaching activity of developing information resource and training the students how to write . That is the main problem which composition teaching must work out. We may design the composition course of developing information resource according to activity course, reading course and research course. I insist that composition teaching must depend on the deepth and width of relating with life, depend on the effective accumulation of information instead of the teachers' lots of analysis.
