Sustainable development is a standard of the social development known globally. "The sustainable developing education" results from "the sustainable development", Among a series of unstable problems, education is a hope and force to develop new ideas and change the status qua, and a tool to copy old outlooks and maintain the status qua as well, Chinese textbooks, as the foremost factor in the sustainable education, must be subjected to strategic response.Based on the reasons for, and the concepts and implications of the sustainable education, the paper provides a rational analysis of the relationship between the sustainable education and stable Chinese textbooks, especially it criticizes the deficiencies existing in the contemporary textbooks. It suggests the edition of units covering the society, zoology, and economic technology, so that students to study these units will gain relevant knowledge, skills and values. This article probes into a new construct of Chinese textbooks, and tries to find a "home" for the sustainable developing education which used to be homeless so that the textbooks can embody the spirit and requirements of the modern times and essentially solve the problems of the sustainable development, and improve the unitary reform of education and sustainable development.
