Integrating The Western Educational System Into Chinese Circumstances: A Consideration About The Educational Modernization

He had experienced the strict traditional education in childhood and accepted new idea in Japan, so he had the typical characters of both traditional gentleman and new style social elite. There was no doubt that the resources of identity, kin and official brought by his double status, had played an important role in setting up the school.When running the school, GuiRuiFan had integrated the Western Educational system into the social conditions in his hometown, thus had formed a particular way of running a school. The characters of GuiQiao Primary School are such as the school's principle of training modern subjects, a set of school system that fit country society, strict management, reasonable arrangement of subjects and editing teaching material, rigorous systems of test and rewards and punishments, attaching great importance to the moral education, intellectual education and physical education, a coup of excellent teachers. All those facts had promoted the teaching quality.Above 2,000 students had graduated from GuiQiao Primary School, and almost 10,000 students had studied in it in 30 years. Having stayed in China widely and took all kinds of jobs, they had attributed a lot to the advancement of society.Compared with the recession of public education, GuiQiao Primary School had achieved a great success, so it had some useful experiences for Chinese modernization of education, which is that we should not only pay much attention to the education run by privates, but also settle the relationship between using the tradition educational system and utilizing the Western Educational System during Chinese modernization of education.
