The Research Of The Relationship Between State Anxiety Before College Entrance Examination And Trait Anxiety , Personality & Self-Efficacy

With a sample of 857 students for college entrance examination from Hohhot & Shanghai city, the study examined that how the state anxiety before college entrance examination was affected by the inherent psychological factors-trait anxiety, intro-extroversion, neuroticism, psychoticism, self-efficacy using Correlate & Regression and external natural factors-city, nationality, gender, types of students, types of schools, self-evaluated score and self-evaluated family economical condition using One-Way ANOVA & T test. Many conclusions were drown from present study, there are as follows: The state anxiety before college entrance examination is significantly higher than normal statistics score and most of students have higher state anxiety before college entrance examination ; Results indicated that the state anxiety before college entrance examination has significant positive relation to trait anxiety, neuroticism, psychoticism and has significant negative relation to self-efficacy ,intro-extroversion; Those variables which entered the Regression formula of state anxiety before college entrance examination in according to their explanatory were trait anxiety, neuroticism and self-efficacy, the explanatory of those is higher than 50 percent. Intro-extroversion and psychoticism were removed from the formula because of inadequate explanatory. Different city's culture and different nationality's culture affect students' anxiety to the college entrance examination. That is, the state anxiety before college entrance, examination of the students in Shanghai is significantly higher than those in Hohhot, and the state anxiety before college entrance examination of Mongolian in Hohhot issignificantly higher than that of Han nationality in Hohhot; Different gender's psychological factors affect students' anxiety to the college entranceexamination. That is, the female's state anxiety before college entrance examination issignificantly higher than the male'; Students' self-evaluated score affects students' anxiety to the college entranceexamination. That is, the state anxiety before college entrance examination of studentswith lower self-evaluated score is significantly higher than those with higherself-evaluated score; There are no significant differences in state anxiety before college entrance examinationin different types of students, types of schools and self-evaluated family economicalcondition.
