Study On The Equality Of Couple Under The Market Economy

The relationship of couple is the nucleus of family relations; the democracy, the equality, the harmony and the happiness of a family are partly decided by the equality of family members, especially the equality of couple. Accelerating the equalization of couple will not only help us raise the women's status in a family but also build the new democratic socialist marriage and family institutions, and make millions of families happier. This paper based on the historical materialism, comparing the equality of couple in countries and towns, analyzes the reality of the equality of couple in Chinese family under the market economy, then with the help of the sociological and psychological theories, points out the problems in this field and finds out the causes of these problems by the qualitative and quantitative methods, finally comes out the measures that we should take to solve these problems. The paper concludes that we should acknowledge and pay attention to the influences on the equal relation of couple which are brought by the market economy, the inertia of culture and so on, then build the modern marriage and family institution based on the couple's rational cooperation and support.
