An upsurge of quality assurance system in higher education has arisen around the world recently .The study analyses the background of this trend. It chooses England, Australia and New Zealand as the study subjects. The study introduces the structures, features and operational processes of the quality assurance systems in these three countries. In its inclusion, the study explains the similarities and differences between these systems, on account of their respective history, tradition and culture. The study also sums up three models of quality assurance system in the worldwide. In the end, the author puts forward some concrete suggestions on building our quality assurance system in higher education.
