A Study On The Quality Control On Students Rating Of Teaching In Universities

Since early 1980s, as a result of social development, Students Rating of Teaching (SRT) have largely effected higher education. As its growth the topic of "how to improve the quality of SRT " challenge our attention .In this thesis , we have the opinion that quality of SRT is the result of control. Taking it as an incision that the revealing the connotation of Quality Control of SRT(QCSRT), it figures out QTCSR objects are the factors effecting SRT Quality, makes an attempt at constructing the quality control standards, and advocates some proposals which beneficial to today's SRT based on analyzing the currently problems. The main idea include the following:(1) SRT Quality is the characters of SRT's ability satisfying certain needs, credibility and availability is its two main characters. QCSRT is a progress that the administrator supervises every activities and deals it rightly, so as to assure the claimed quality.(2)The factors effecting SRT Quality involve two kinds of elements, subjective factors and objective factors. Subjective factors include student's competence, student's attitudes, and their mentality; objective factors includes rating forms, methods, environments, and its values.(3) The standards of QC is the basis of QCSRT. It's a rule of quality and quantity of each elements, activity and its result. The standard system composes of supporting variables and standards, inputting variables and standards, progress variables and standards, outputting variables and standards.(4)Considering of the progress of SRT, the general methods of Quality Control of SRT can be divided into three parts: feedforward Control, concurrent control, feedback control. All methods are related to each other, supplied each other, a effective control is their resultant force.(5)Nowadays, the measures to cortrol SRT include the following: designing the scale scientifically; improving evaluator's competence by trainning; consummating the laws and rules to astrict evaluators' behavior; making up effective feedback system to enhance the actual effect.
