P.E., as one part of education, actively carries out the guideline of diathesis education. Little has been made in the reform of physical learning evaluation, though much has been achieved in that of the teaching method, contents and system. Traditionally, evaluation of physical learning pays too much attention to its function of discriminating and selecting rather than its functions of improvement and inspiration. And its sole emphasis on the evaluation of social model is not good to the individual development. In connection with the above shortcoming, this thesis aims at discussion on individual evaluation applying in physical learning makes up the deficiency in the evaluation of social model.Individual evaluation is based on Vigosky's "close developmental zone", in which he mentioned that children of the same age have the same aspect of development stage and the other aspect of difference. It is the processing developmental level, which is under the forming condition and just in the course of being maturing. Zankov applies the idea of "close developmental zone" to teaching and developmental experiments, he put forward five teaching principle ,in which his fifth teaching principle says letting all students in a class (including inferior students) make progress of different levels. Meaning learning theory supplies psychological evidence for individual evaluation. D.P. Ausubel finds that learning contains the necessary connection of learning new knowledge and the known experience and that the most important element affecting students' learning is the content, which is known to students. His cognitive assimilation theory makes senses that the new knowledge and skills of students' in physical learning is connected with their previous personal physical experience. Carl Rogers holds that only if students grant meaning on PE themselves, they can go on with the further study. Therefore, on the basis of recognition of the meanings of PE, students would make efforts and develop their physical diathesis.The thesis mainly concerns documentary materials, teaching experiments, questionnaire investigation and data statistics. In basketball classes and pushup practice of grade one students in senior middle school, original data are attained with the individual evaluation method and inter-group comparison applied, which are analyzed and conclusion is drawn as following.1. In basketball classes, the experimental students make significancedifferences of results with others in some result lists. Although no notable differences are made in others, which indeed have prominent trend. I believe that if we have enough time, there may be prominent differences. So individual evaluation is feasible and valid to promote students to master motor skills, by which they could develop themselves at maximum level on the previous basis. It is helpful to foster students' abilities of observing, analyzing, and resolving problems.2. In pushup exercise, the experimental students make significance differences of results with others, which makes each student make their own standard according to their own condition, self-supervision, and fostering their lifelong concept of PE.3. Through analyzing a questionnaire, the experimental students have significance differences of results with others in confidence-efficacy and strategies part-questionnaire. Although no notable differences are made in self-regulation part-questionnaire, which indeed has prominent trend.4. Place emphasis on the educational function of evaluation in teaching practice, and in the process pay much attention on formative evaluation. Combine the teacher's evaluation with that of classmates as well as self-evaluation.5. According to the theory of individual evaluation and the practice value, it is predicted that it is also applicable in skill teaching of other items, and is expected to be on experiments and spread.
