The coming era of information & knowledge economy are changing educational form and content. Educational informatization(EI for short) is enlarging study scope for learner. Under the background of "science & education promote the country" , Gansu province had being carried out several items which all make use of remaked Chinese Educational Broadcasting of Satellite System(CEBsat system for short)to improve El environment and to raise educational quality. Now, the issues of how the CEBsat system did, what effects had made, what problems were exited and how to solute them are all worth grasping and studying immediately for us.Through the methods of inspecting , questionnaire distributing , interviewing, the plan of investigating, finding problem, analyzing reason and raising countermeasure, the theories of distance education, educational communication and educational technology, the paper makes a deep and all-round study on CEBsat system' s application in Gansu rural primary & middle schoolThis paper is composed of five parts as following:Part one introduces the reason, significance and purpose of this study. On the basis of summarizing El current situation both in home and abroad, the paper indicates that the CEBsat system' application in western rural can effectively make up the lack of educational resources and promote educational development quickly there. This paper centers on the CEBsat system' application in Gansu rural schools. Part two shows some relative background for the investigation of part three through inspecting developing courses of satellite TV education in China, the El situation in Gansu province and the Educational Ministry & Li jiacheng Foundation Modern Distance Education Item in Western China. Part three is a important section of the paper. In this section, the writer makes a lot of investigations and analyses by selecting item schools in Gansu province of the Educational Ministry & Li jiacheng Foundation Modern Distance Education Item in Western China. The result points out that CEBsat system had taken a preliminary effect in fields of properly disposing educational resources, changing educational idea, arousing students' study interests, pushing on educational reform and so on. Meanwhile, item schools had some difficulties and problems in hardware, fund, system maintaining, resource managing and teachers. Part four, aimed at the investigation results above, puts forward corresponding countermeasures and theories from 8 sides such as changing mind, reinforcing lead, ensuring fund, improving hardware environment, training teacher and managing resources properly and so on. A brief summary is part five of this paper.
