Integrated curriculum of practical activity (ICPA) is a new kind of curriculum form based on students' direct experience, tightly related to social life and students' own life, and embodying students' comprehensive application of knowledge. ICPA inherits, develops and formalizes the-practical experience of activity curriculum in primary and secondary schools in recent years. ICPA adjusts to the tide of world curriculum reform and the need of our basic education reform.Student assessment has always been the choke point of educational development. As a new and highly integrated curriculum form, ICPA is extremely different from traditional subject curriculum in objectives, ideas, contents, and methods of student assessment. ICPA also has no ready procedures and patterns to copy. Student assessment of ICPA is the key to its operation and is significant to its real fulfillment, to students' healthy development and teachers' professional development. But among existing research literature of student assessment of ICPA, we can find that most of them are theoretical principles. Furthermore, because of the influence of traditional assessment, there are many questions in practice such as obscure assessment ideas, inappropriate assessment methods, singular assessment content, and partial assessment subject etc. Such vague theoretical orientation and practical deviation makes it urgent for us to put the research of student assessment of ICPA on schedule. This thesis is based on experimental research. It adopts action research methods and literature methods, i.e. summarizing, promoting and reflecting the issues and experiences in our experiment by present participation, observation and reflection and cooperation with students and teachers, at the same time also referencing other scholars' related research achievements. The thesis aims to understand and explore the basic connotations, ideas, elements and security system of student assessment of ICPA, in order to deepen and extend the implementation of student assessment, and also enrich and complement the research of ICPA. The thesis consists of five sections. Introduction presents the background, significance and purpose of this thesis. The first section clarifies and defines the meanings and features of ICPA and its student assessment. The second section combs out and interprets the basic ideas of student assessment, putting forward four pairs of relations we.should deal with and master. The third section generalizes and explains basic elements of student assessment, dealing with some practical questions we should pay attention to. The fourth section sums up and analyzes the basic security system, bringing forward some suggestions. The last section addresses some issues which are to be further studied.
