The increasingly developing society makes it possible for the mass media such as TV and radio to play more important roles in the learning activities of today's juveniles, and consequently, the influence of mass media upon juveniles' socialization has caught more attentions of the people from all walks of life. Chinese literature and language is one of the fundamental subjects with strikingacademic characteristics, characterized by the essential natures of instrumentality and humanity, and the other natures of comprehensiveness and practicality. And sociality holds the lion's share, which is mainly embodied by the multiple social functions of the subject and diversity of its training approaches. The diversity of the training approaches is based upon the multiple learning channels, in-class receiving of knowledge and after-class fostering of the sense of language and literature in daily life. It is believed that the mass media closely related to human daily life, especially TV and radio, contain an astronomical amount of information in Chinese literature and language. Under the precondition of the intense and effective in-class learning, should the electronic mass media be fully employed, the vast majority of juvenile students would attain desired results through fewer efforts than ever before under the guidance of the only emphasis on in-class study. The paper, based on the field investigation and study, analyzes the current situation in which the juveniles take advantage of mass media in Chinese study, and puts forward the concept on the appropriate roles played by students, parents, teachers, and the media industry respectively from the perspective of the broad-based Chinese education theory in order to establish a bridge between the mass media and Chinese education and, therefore, optimize the relationship between them.
