Under the background that Chinese society emphasizes on strengthening the socialist morality construction, this research takes the contemporary university student as the research object, and mainly takes the media effect theory as the support, then uses the research method of both quantitative analysis and qualitative analysis to analyze and discuss the influence of the mass media on university students' moral cognition, which in the foundation of the description to the contemporary university students' media contact condition and the moral cognition condition. The article is divided into six major parts:The first part is an introduction. In this part, the researcher mainly introduces this researeh's background, the goal and the significance, and then gives the coordination and commentary to the former related research literature.In the second part, the researcher proposes this research's design including theory basis, the research's hypothesis, the research's route, the research's method and so on.In the third part, the researcher describes the situation of the investigated place and the sample, the present situation of the contemporary university students' media contact from the media contact degree, the media contact content and the media contact target.In the fourth part, the researcher wants to reflect the situation of the university students' moral cognition through the description to the students' individual moral cognition, the family ethics cognition and the common courtesy cognition. Then, let the students' media contact behavior have a relevant examination and analysis with their individual moral cognition, the family ethics cognition and the common courtesy cognition respectively to find the influence of the mass media on the university students' moral cognition.In the fifth part, the researcher analyzes qualitatively the influence mechanism of the mass media from the dissemination study perspective and the investigated result of the students' subjective understanding so that to point out that the influence of the mass media has dualism, then further illuminates that the mass media and other factors have the combining influence on university students' moral cognition.In the last part, The conclusions are drawn on the base of the positive research and are also taken into consideration to put forward the suggestion and advice basing upon constructing better ethical education environment and promoting correct moral cognition.
