Emotional education has been practicing in the world and it is developing. The developments of society and individuals call for it. It's our new topic.Emotional education is the one that makes students feel cheerful and is a complicated, rich, spiritual and influential education. The educational system in our country is set up mostly under the guidance of scientism. Its disadvantages have been shown clearly as laying particular stress on cognition and overlooking emotion. That is against students molding their whole-some personality and noble-minded sentiment.It is an inevitable trend that English education should be permeated with emotional education in teaching English as a foreign language (TEFL) in middle schools. Language teaching should embody both its value as a tool and its humanity and should regard overall developments of persons as its starting point and destination: the integration of cognition and emotion. In the process of paying close attention to students' feelings, both arousing and transferring students' feelings should be regarded as means of promoting teaching efficiency and the aims of shaping the good emotional characters of students should be reached through the developments of affection advancing the harmonious developments of their personality.In this paper on the basis of the related achievements and her own teaching experiences, the author will do preliminary research on the enforcement of emotional education in TEFL.The paper contains five parts:1, The importance of paying close attention to students' feelings in TEFL in middle schoolsThis part briefly discusses the relationship between educational "Four Pillars", life-long learning and emotional education , also the value of emotion and the value of paying close attention to students' feelings in TEFL.2. The enlightenment of emotional educational developments in the worldThis part briefly discusses the background of emotional development and the emotional educational goals during the reform of new curriculums.3 . The current situation in TEFL in middle schools in our countryThis part shortly discusses the existing problems in current TEFL in middle schools in our country.4. The connotation of emotional education and the following principle of paying close attention to students' feelings in TEFLThis part shortly discusses the connotations of emotional education and emotional education in TEFL, and also generalizes its following principle of paying close attention to students' feelings in TEFL.5. Paying close attention to students' feelings and overall improving TEFLEnglish teachers should improve their own qualities, transfer their educational ideas, paying close attention to students' feelings and implement emotional education in TEFL. In order to promote students' human qualities and even help their overall developments, teachers must establish harmonious teacher-student relationship, exploit affective factors, improve teaching processes and evaluating methods.Conclusion expresses the research experiences and the further thoughts of emotional education in TEFL.
