Today's China is advancing quality-oriented education actively. It is every teacher's responsibility to train innovative talents. And the core of innovative talents is creative thinking. It is necessary for mathematics teachers to make a deep investigation about creative thinking level in high school students while training students' creative thinking. This essay mainly tries the following respects:First, through the analysis of the current situation of education system and teaching fonns and with the urgent requests of reform in high school mathematics course, it points out the feasibility and necessity to train students' creative thinking.Second, through the theoretical research of the basic conception, classification and main components of creative thinking, it points out middle school students have the ability to think creatively and at the same time creative thinking can be trained too. It offers theoretical foundation for high school teachers to train students' creative thinking ability. Mathematics creative thinking is a kind of conscious thinking which is a complicated psychology and intelligence activity. It needs original imagination and rational judgement. Its main characteristics are novelty, uniqueness, breakthrough, truth and value based on which to examine the thinking achievements. Mathematics problem-solving has close relations with creative thinking. The course of solving mathematics problems is in fact a course in which many kinds of thinking are comprehensive in succession in the creative thinking thus achieving the goal finally. Mathematics teachers has the responsibility to train students' creative thinking during the process of solving the teaching problems.Third, it introduces the historical development and current situation of creative thinking. There were a lot of theoretical research about creative thinking in history, among which the representative theories are as follows: " Four-stage Model" of Wallas, "Structure" of Form Tower School," Disperse Thinking" of J.P.Guilford etc., which offer us fine reference today. At present a lot of domestic and international experts and scholars are devoted to the researchof creative thinking and have made rich achievements.Fourth, it includes investigations of high school student mathematics creative thinking. This essay mainly adopted a way of questionnaire investigation It made investigations on risk, curiosity, imagination, challenge of creative thinking among all grade students of our school,. Besides, two classes which were chosen at random were tested on creative thinking ability of mathematics. And mathematics teachers of our school were investigated in this respect too.Fifth, through the tests of Williams creativity incline and mathematics creative thinking for students of our school, and combined with my own teaching practice, I have summarized the factors which influence the development of students' creative thinking. They mainly include: one-sided educational function, outmoded education ideas, passive thinking tendency, passive ways of learning, emotion obstacles, knowledge obstacles, etc,all of which have hampered the progress of students' creative thinking.Sixth, according to my own teaching practice and the results of research, I'd like to propose the following suggestions: Change traditional education ideas of mathematics teachers of high school; Change the traditional teaching way; Change the ways of learning in students; Strengthen creative thinking training of students in class.
