| At the present time, science and technology have advanced by leaps and bounds, and indications have already be seen in the knowledged economy. The competition of national power among nations is getting keener gradually which lies in the competition of the qualitified persons and the advance in science and technology achieved by them. The quality of the university students at present has a direct bearing on China's rise and decline and the accomplishment of the aims of building the well-off society in all round way. However, the great impact on the psychology of the university students has been caused by the keen competition in the present society, the quickening of the living steps and the reforming of the regulation of making use of personnel. Therefore, it is important that the psychological consult in universities must be developed to help the university students improve the ability of suiting the society and develop in all round way.The work of psychological consult in universities of our country dates from the mid 1980's, which has been developed for over ten years. This work has developed rapidly from the beginning and varieties of consultative activities have grown vigorously which are quite inspiring. The work of psychological consult will become an important part of higher education of our country in the 21st century. To carry out this work effectively takes an active part in the improvements of the educators' character and students' psychological quality.In view of the existing situation of the psychological consult of university students, the author, in respect of theory and practice, comprehensively expounds the work of psychological consult in universities at present, analyses the existing problems in the work of psychological consult of our country and put forward his opinions on the pattern conception of the psychological consult in universities of our country. The author hopes that the thesis may offer realistic reference to the university psychological consultant.
