In the knowledge economic times, as the continuous deepening of our education reform and the promotion of the quality education, especially the new round of the basic educational courses being carried out, chemistry teachers are facing a whole new challenge. So if teacher's action of roles and forms of concepts wanted to be changed from the traditional form into the modern form, teachers must be required to change their concepts, and realize to change roles. The text combines the main western education concept sect with the achievements of the domestic research of the teacher's role change, taking the chemistry teacher as the research targets, to elaborate the necessity of the teacher's role change from four points: modern teaching theory, the requirement of the quality education, modern information technology, and the new round of the course reform. Second, at the guidance of the role concept, combine the basic education course reform, the quality education and the creative education concept, from the angles of the chemistry class teaching, experiment teaching, extracurricular activities, teaching research, and basing on the search and practice of many years' teaching, it discuss out a better form in the teacher's role change in chemistry teaching; and it illustrates that it must depends on the supports of school leaders, society, the parents and the efforts of teachers; and at the same time, it also emphasizes that teacher's own evaluation is an important judgment to value teacher's role change. The research result shows that, if a chemistry teacher changes his role in teaching procedures, it would not only promote people's new recognition for them, but also raise the chemistry teacher's quality, and in order to train many talents who with pioneering spirits and creative abilities, teachers should work hard.
