The Innovation Education On The Background Of Knowledge-based Economy: Intension, Value And Direction

In recent years, innovation education has become the main trend of education in our country. Many authors have defined the concept of innovation education. As a new-born concept, the correct understanding of it will show the essence of education and the reflections of modern education in our country, so that it can provide us the goal and the direction of our education reform.This paper summarizes kinds of definitions of innovation education, tries to re-define the concept, and comes up with a comprehensive understanding of the concept. First, this paper analyses the era background of innovation education, and considers that innovation education meets the request of knowledge-based economy and behalves the concept of sustainable development. Then the innovation education should be understood through three approaches as follows: value, process and direction.
