With the emergence and popularity of the Internet,it has provided an alternative teaching approach for the general education. Web-based teaching has become a growing global trend.This paper is fourfold.Firstly,the article starts with the definition of Web-based teaching and lays great emphasis on its supportive theories.Secondly, an analysis of the differences between the traditional teaching patterns and Web-based teaching is presented.Meanwhile,some clear guidelines for Web-based teaching patterns and strategies are brought forward.Thirdly,in response to that,some middle-school physics teaching cases based upon Web-based teaching are presented.Finally,suggestions on Web-based teaching are made and some problems are pointed out according to assessment of teaching & learning.
