Study On Teachers' Construction Of Independent Establishing Polytechnic Colleges In Jiangsu

With the more deepening of our higher educational reform, the higher vocational and technical education attains rapid development close to economy and industry structures. During recent years conspicuously comes independent establishing polytechnic colleges in Jiangsu Province. The teacher being one of four fundamental key elements, the research on teachers' construction of independent establishing polytechnic colleges is carried out to ensure the educational quality of these colleges and meet the needs of the reform and development of higher vocational and technical education.The basic concept of independent establishing polytechnic colleges is firstly formulated in the paper. Countering basic characters, significance and problems of its teachers' construction, employing the theory of pedagogy, administration and statistics as well as the methods of document, investigation and questionnaire etc. and drawing on the experience of the same teachers' construction abroad, the dissertation suggests some ways and countermeasures , and probes into in detail some important subjects, say "System of Teacher Service", "Teachers' Specialization", "Pattern of Teachers with Technical Titles", "Teachers' Training" and "Teachers' Research" etc., concerning present conditions, requirements and theories of teachers' construction of independent establishing polytechnic colleges. Especially, some novel ideas are put forward, say "Teachers' Entry Platform", "System of Individual Examination and Appraisal" and "Teachers' Team Evaluation" etc.The study will surely improve the teachers' quality, perform their function,supply scientific theory and practical guidance for running a college in the condition of socialist market economy and finally embody the value of the said colleges in our national economy.
