Higher polytechnic education is an important part of higher education in China,and higher polytechnic colleges account for a considerable proportion of higher education in China.Under the background of economic transformation,industrial structure adjustment,especially the upgrading of manufacturing industry,the connotation development of higher polytechnic colleges is becoming more and more important.In the process of realizing the benign development of higher polytechnic colleges,strengthening the construction of teachers in higher polytechnic colleges is the necessary meaning and one of the necessary conditions,and improving the performance management system in higher polytechnic colleges is bound to become an important starting point and inevitable choice for the construction of teachers.After years of theoretical development and practical accumulation,performance management has become a set of policy tools and governance mechanisms containing many related links,in which performance assessment is in the core position of connecting the preceding with the following and leading the overall situation in both theory and practice.Based on the case study,integrated the questionnaire survey and data collection and literature analysis as research methods,this paper focuses on the research of the performance assessment practice of vocational college teachers,and selects Guangzhou Sontan polytechnic college as our typical research object.We use various analysis tools such as the organic integration of the performance management theory,target management theory,incentive theory and the theory of teacher professional development,fully drawing on the experience of domestic and foreign well-known performance assessment in higher vocational colleges.This paper attempts to explore the status quo and problems and reasons of performance assessment in higher vocational colleges,from target,content and index system,procedures and methods,result and feedback,mechanism design of performance assessment.On the basis of results,We put forward specific and practicable countermeasures with the purpose to provides solutions and intellectual support for the construction of teaching staff in higher vocational colleges,thus promoting the sustainable development of higher vocational colleges and effectively serving the national strategy.
