Based on the Economics of education and the theory of education financing, this thesis discusses several issues related to the diversifying financing strategy of the non-state-owned institute for higher education.Considering the present situation, development history, teaching mode and different classes, this thesis first analyses the existing problems of the non-state-owned institute in detail and points out that raising funds is the major obstacle to developing it. Moreover, by comparing the existing methods of funds collection in China with that of foreign developed countries such as United State and Japan, the author indicates that single fund-raising channel and unstable financing source are two important issues, encountered in collecting funds for the non-state-owned institutes. In addition, the prerequisite of diversifying financing strategy is discussed and a method for solving the copyright and the profit problems of the non-state-owned institutes is presented. Finally, based on the experience of foreign developed countries, this thesis proposes some tentative suggestions for the diversifying financing of the non-state-owned institutes in China.
