With the development of economy and education in China, the situation of vocational schools and high schools face the contradict between educational supply and educational demand. The need of such education are consisted of the educational chances and educational products required by individual, enterprise,and government, while the supply of such education can be viewed that the educational authority provides students with the educational chances and offers all walks of life the skilled laborers. So, the contradict between educational supply and educational demand, based on the point above mentioned, can be concluded that the need to the educational chances and educational products can not meet the demand of individual, enterprise, and government.The contradict mainly focuses on the educational quality, educational quantity and educational structure. First of all, China is a developing country. The educational finance is not sufficient and the facilities as well as the staff can not meet the demand of the society. Second, the key high schools had shared a large quantity of money from our government during the planning economy, which caused the big gap in educational quality between the ordinary high schools and key high schools. Considering that the limited educational resources are unfairly distributed, the educational resources given to the superior ordinary high schools are still not sufficient. Last, because of people's concept, government's investment and the products from the vocational schools, the need to the vocational education is far below the need to the high school education, which results in the structure contradict between the vocational schools and the high schools.In essence, only the economy is developed well, can we make a good solution to the contradict. At present, we can take the following actions: first, government should enlarge the investment to education; second, reform the traditional education and treat the key high schools and the ordinary high schools as brothers in order to provide the society with superior education. Last, we should solve the specific problems resulted from the development of the vocational schools, strengthen thevocational schools' attraction and eventually make a solution to the supply-demand contradict. This essay makes a rough analysis of the supply-demand contradict between the vocational schools and the high schools. Based on the analysis, several immature solutions are presented.
