School-based educational research not only catches more and more people's eye, but also is spread in schools as an effective way to promote schools' development and advance participants' professional growth in recent years.The study discusses the possibility of school-based educational research and its value in minorities regions though action research according to a case study in Xiahe Labrang tibetan primary school. The main conclusions of the study as follows:I . School-based educational research is not separated from school activities.II. School-based educational research can be carried out in schools of minorities regions though effective ways.III. School-based educational research is an effective way to promote schools' development in minorities regions.IV. School-based educational research is an effective way to advance participants' professional growth in minorities regions.V. The teachers of school-based research should reinforce theory and practice of education in minorities regions.VI. There are several ways to carry school-based educational research in minorities regions.XII. There are many helps for schools in minorities regions to carry school-based educational research effectively.
