At present, the educational curriculum planning of the middle vocational school in the city of Guiyang, Guizhou province, is the traditional course-centered mode that is composed of general knowledge course, basic course and specialized course which can not meet the needs of the economic development of Guiyang city. Implementating the strategy of western region development in Guiyang, the city has entered into the important period of strategical adjustment of economy. The adjustments of specialized courses and the educational curriculum planning in middle vocational schools should be arranged around the economic aim in order to support the economic development. Therefore, the reform of the educational curriculum planning for the middle vocational school in Guiyang should not only meet the needs of strategical adjustment of economy and be practical, but also have the advanced consciousness according to the economic and technological developing tendency, and aim to foster capable workers according to the course resources. The aim of the employing oriented course structure in Guiyang is to help students obtain employment. Therefore, the curriculum planning should be related to the professions, and organized according to the practical needs of the professions and the educational aim of the vocational school.
