Vocational education as a modern education system is an important part which could benifit government to implement the strategy of invigorating country through science and education. And also it is an important process to transform science and technology into productivity. The development of vocational education can not only promote economic development and employment, to alleviate the situation of labor supply and demand structure contradiction, but also can improve the people's livelihood, even to solve Chinese three-dimensional rural issues concerning agriculture, countryside and farmers. In words, Vocational education act a key role in social development of China. Especially In Chinese underdeveloped western region, we need to accelerate the development of vocational education. Based on the above background, this paper tries hard to make multiple comprehensive and creative, self development and improvement of the vocational education system. This paper is divided into four parts to make discussion:First of all, this research will focus on the concept of vocational education, to analyse the intrinsic attributes, and summary the historical origins, development and processes of professional education. To point out that vocational education from the first essential attribute and general property deals with, then in combination with the current professional education level system, emphatically analyse the differences between ordinary and vocational education, and taking Chongqing engineering vocational technology college education as an example, to make interpretation of professional courses, training modes and the teaching goals of vocational education.Secondly, based on the concept of professional education and overall understanding of the basis of modern vocational education, take Germany, United States, and Japan as cases to further analysis the origin and development of modern vocational education. Then make comparison between Chinese and the developed countries' vocational education of modern vocational education, and focuses on the situation of western minority regions' vocational education development, to find some common problem.Again, taking Chongqing as a case, to study the specialty and necessity of developing vocational education in Chinese west. And then respectively analyse the situation of western minority nationality regions' vocational education multiple dimensions such as social cognition, system construction, input mechanism, system construction etc, so as to explore existing problems comprehensively.Finally, based on the previous description and analysis, combine with the social reality as a fundamental standpoint, tries to find solutions respectively from the establishment of lifelong education policy, the innovation of support, mode of running and industrial policy adjustment and enterprise, and resource advantage using, so as to work at enlarging vocational education scale, establishing and perfecting the comprehensive professional education in Chinese western minority regions.
