Content: The integration of information technology (IT) and subjects is one of the most important tasks of our national elementary education curriculum reform. Chinese subject teaching is our national mother language teaching, therefore, to make use of modern IT and reform the backward appearance of our traditional Chinese teaching is the urgent requirement in deepening the reform of Chinese teaching. So, it is of great importance to do the research on integrating IT and Chinese subject.This paper, directed against the weakness of the related research, adopts the documents research method, comparison study method and case analysis method, constructs the theory basis of the integration of IT and Chinese subject; makes clear the functions of IT in Chinese subject and teaching. Based on many cases analysis, three teaching modes of integrating IT and Chinese subject are refined, which will play important roles in current Chinese subject teaching.The theory basis of the integration of IT and Chinese subject are as follows: System theory, Chinese Teaching theory, Constructivism Learning theory, Educational Communication theory, Instruction Design theory and Thinking Science theory. The functions of IT in Chinese subject teaching are as follows: constructing informationalize Chinese teaching & learning environment; providing abundant Chinese teaching & learning resources; serving as powerful Chinese teaching & learning instruments; helping to create Chinese teaching situations; supporting to carry our Chinese teaching activities. The three refined integrated teaching modes are mentioned respectively: reading teaching mode with teachers demonstrating; reading teaching mode with students exploring; e-writing teaching mode. This paper stresses the specific analysis of these three teaching modes and provides relevant case.
