In recent ten years , reform of mathematics curriculum has been a international trend , education reform of all countries focus their attention on teachers. In a sense , teachers' bad knowledge structure contributed to failure in XinShu movement . To take warning from history , in face of curriculum reform, we need to examine teachers' professional knowledge structure , to find whether teachers adjust themselves to the new situation, to find out it is in which aspects that cause teachers not to adjust themselves to curriculum development, then put forward some constructive suggestions about continual education for teachers at their posts, so that teachers become the motive force of curriculum reform. This paper includes six parts:Part1 make a brief introduction to reason to research and pose the problem which will be elaborated later.Part2, the author analyzes the meaning of teachers specialization, the relation between teachers specialization and curriculum reform, as a specialist, what sort of knowledge structure should a teacher own.Part3, having analyzed the new course criteria, the author draws a conclusion that new curriculum has challenged teachers to knowledge such as mathematics, pedagogics and common culture. Being faced with curriculum reform, teachers should further learn mathematics and research the elementary mathematics, grasp the theory of pedagogics and widen the scope of knowledge.Part4, in the light of investigation of teachers' currentprofessional knowledge, the author has found a fact that teachers are not up to new course demand.Part5, on the basis of the above analysis, the author thinks it is necessary for teachers at their posts to have chance to accept continual education, so as to reduce the distance between current knowledge structure and curriculum development. Moreover, course offered and train model should meet the demand of teachers as subject. Further, the author advances some proposals from the two angles.Part 6, ending words, in which some questions are put forward for further study.
