Entering the 1980's, teachers' professional development has become the focus of people's attention and one of the main subjects in the contemporary reform of education. The specialization of the teachers profession is essential for the improvement of teachers' professional quality and the promotion of the teachers' professional social value, and it is the objective requirements for education of teachers in our country. What's more, this is a new task with great theoretical significance and practical value raised in the circumstances of the Curriculum Reform of the Basic Education.According to the documents gathered, there is a great deal of research made both at home and abroad into the case of the specialization of teachers. All the research, in terms of the writer's analysis, is mainly made theoretically, covering two aspects. One is about what kind of profession deserves the title of "speciality" or what the standards for a profession as a "speciality" are. The other is about the characteristics of the specialization of teachers and the method to carry it out. However, there is only a little applied research from the view of practice and the details, especially the Curriculum Reform of the Basic Education. This is exactly a pity. Making an investigation to analyze and study the current situation of the specialization of the teachers at primary and secondary schools, so as to find the problems, the reasons and the countermeasures, will make theoretical support and practical guidance for the development of the specialization of teachers.With the approach of combining historical analysis and case survey with theoretical debate, this research has conducted the study of countermeasures by the multi-dimensions discussion about the problems existing in the specialization of teachers at primary and secondary schools in the circumstances of the Curriculum Reform of the Basic Education. Here is the general thoughts of the research.First, on the basis of analyzing the documents, we discuss the researches done by the scholars both at home and abroad into the problem of the specialization of teachers.
