Aim: More and more profoundly deaf children take in cochlear implant recently in China whereas the field of rehabilitation have little experience about it. Many teachers and parents missed treasurable training period due to they don't know what to do postoperation. This study compared three different methods used in China to make sure which one is better. Up to now, very few investigator study rehabilitation methods for deaf children from linguistic specialty in China. The author emphasized the importance of the linguistic on rehabilitation field in this thesis.Method: In these years, there are three different methods applied to the rehabilitation field. 1. Auditory verbal therapy: attach most importance to sense of hearing on language study and try to avoiding assistance of other senses in training courses, arouse deaf children's communication enthusiasm in meaningful company condition. Auditory verbal therapy insists the principle of "whole language" for rehabilitation of deaf children: a. Follow the natural process of language development. b. Speech progress is one part of whole development. c. Language exist for communication, and communication is the best way to learn language. d. Help children finding the meaning of speech on their own initiative. e. Talking with whole sentences. F. Use verbal before body language in communication. g. Pay attention to foster good habit of communication for deaf children from initial stages. 2. Synthesized sense therapy: Using visual, feeling and other senses with audition simultaneously in training lessons and everyday life. 3. Phoneme discriminate therapy: Emphasizing phoneme discriminate in auditory training in stead of perceive whole meaning of language. This study selected three groups of deaf children randomly from three different methods. The investigator grouped the deaf children once more based on age of operation and the duration of postoperation, and analyzed the effect by Multivariate of General Linear Model. Analysis: Three methods have remarkable difference on evaluation for hearing ability and on repeat whole sentence, subject dialogue in speech evaluation, whereas they haven't obvious difference on articulation. Conclusions: 1. The effects of different variables on the listening ability testBased on the listen ability test results, auditory verbal therapy is obviously better than synthesized sense therapy. This indicates that auditory verbal therapy is more efficient in improving the listening ability of deaf children after the operation. From the listening test results we did not observe the obvious influence of the operation age on the basic listening ability. But the influence becomes more acute in more advanced and detained listening test results. There is obvious correlation between the machine operation time and the listen ability test results. The longer the test carried out, the better the listening ability is. The combined influence of training methods and machine operation time shows: the influence of different training methods on the deaf child's listening ability at different testing time is different, the difference is more obvious at short testing time and the difference decreased with longer testing time. But, this does not necessarily means any training methods are acceptable because, at the infant stage, it is very important for the child to build up the listening ability. 2. The effects of different variables on the language ability testBased on the language ability test results, auditory verbal therapy and phoneme discriminate therapy showed different effect on simulating the sentence length and subject dialogue. This indicates that auditory verbal therapy has more advantage in improving the language ability of deaf child. The younger the operation age, the better the language clarity is.The machine operation time has obvious influence on the language ability, note also, there is strong correlation between the language ability and the training time. The combined influence fro...
