In order to deepen the reforms of physical education (PE) of the primary schools in the countryside in Guangxi minority areas, this thesis attempts to conduct a research to the primary schools in the countyyside in four typical autonomous counties of guangxi on the management system and conduction mechanism, PE teaching and extracurricular training, PE installation and teachers in Guangxi minority countryside schools by the means of data-collecting, questionnaire, practical investigation, mathematical statistic,logical analysis。Its aim is to promote purposefully some reasonable suggestions in order to carry the whole people's body-building plan out better, to practice quality education, and also to provide the government with some first hand materials to develop the PE policies.This research has enough regulation and theoretical bases. The ninth five-year plan of PRC national economic and social development and the outline of 2010 objectives, permitted in the fourth session of the 8th National People's Congress, clearly promoted that "strengthen schools' PE and improve teenagers' physical qualities"; the 3rd Plenary Session of the 15th Party Central Committee promoted that " agriculture, countryside and farmers are the key problems that determine the overall situations of reformation and modernization. Just because of the prior status of education and the important position of the issue of agriculture, countryside and farmers, the school PE in the countryside is very important; the formulation of The Outline of Whole People Body-building Plan, The Outline of 2001-2002 PE Reformation and Development, and the publication and practice of Rules of School PE Sanitary Work, The Law of Education and the Law of PE provide enough regulation bases for the reformation and development of the countryside school PE. Also, with the establishment of the leading idea, "health first", PE is sure to have a trend of paying attention to body-building and emphasizing on efficiency, which provides the theoretic bases for this research. The domestic PE leaders of all classes and some PE experts have it in common that the reformation and development in primary schools in the countryside is very necessary and urgent. So, the research on the present conditions and developmental policies of the primary schools' PE in the countryside in Guangxi minority areas conforms to modern society's need and is plausible.The investigation of the current situation of PE in primary schools in the countryside in the four counties of guangxi minority areas shows that the development of PE in these schools are slow and uneven; the PE in these schools need reformed greatly:the PE installation in almost all the countryside primary schools are urgent for improving and there even happened that the higher level administration stop distributing PE special funds and equipping PE facilities. All the above factors have seriously hindered the PE development of primary schools in the countryside in Guangxi minority areas and made most of the students in these schools fail to receive good PE and health education. Compared with those in some economically developed areas and cities, the primary school students in the countryside in Guangxi minority areas have dim PE consciousness. During the practical investigation, the author findsthat the main causes that lead to weakness of PE in primary schools in the countryside in Guangxi minority areas are that: for a long time, the traditional PE believes and the examination-oriented education have greatly brought negative effects on the countryside primary schools' PE. From another point, the PE have been restricted from developing because of the slow development of Guangxi economy and the shortage of PE outlay in the countryside in Guangxi minority areas. Moreover, the lack of PE teachers and their poor special qualities make the offering of PE a contingency, which is unbeneficial to realize the objective of "everyone shares PE".
