It is coming to the 21 century , an epoch with knowledge created and supplied. With the rapid scientific technique development and the intensive international competition, the quality of laboring people determine the national power closely. Our teaching aims are cultivating "comprehensive development"---qualified personnel in the new century and improving the national quality completely. But in current school teaching, it puts undue emphasis on instrumental value of teaching aims. That is taking "the entrance examination to the university" as teaching aims. Meanwhile it ignores humane value which can promote the students' development. That leads the students' study interest and emotion to the utilitarianism need. Therefore raising and performing the emotional teaching can make the student interest and need to study. It is good for training the students' positive emotion, avoid and overcome the unbalanced phenomenon on deciding the teaching value in teaching aims. Finally, it can help the emotional teaching find out its due position in teaching aims.Emotional teaching means in the teaching process, teachers use various was to motivate and satisfy the students' emotional need, which can advance the development of cognitive activity, to realize our purpose of emotional training. So the teaching aims and ways are united in emotional teaching. Emotional teaching can stable the cognitive result and increase emotion. Emotional teaching can stable the cognitive result and increase emotion. Emotional teaching has six functions: adjust, motivate, consolidate, infect, signal and transfer. In teaching process, emotion is connected with teaching. That can harmonize the relationship between teachers and students, increase the teaching efficiency and develop the comprehensive students.This paper ,based on the illumination of emotional teaching theory and aimed at the current abuses of chemistry teaching in senior school,works out an emotional teaching strategy suitable for chemistry teaching,which are the following aspects:First,richen the students' emotional experiences by respect and trust,which strengthens the students'self-confidence.Secondly,aims lead to the creation ofsituation,which prompts the students' need of learning chemistry.Thirdly,cause both to think and to acknowledge by emotion so that emotion could be the studennts'prompting fact and reach the effect that teaching and learning make each other motive.Fourthly,creative the chance as much as possible that each student could obtain the successful experiences in class.Fifthly,make the process of encouraging evaluation to experience the success for the students actively.At last,encourage the students'emotion out using the properties of chemistry, and makes the research experiment on the basis of Class 005 of GuiLin No.18 Middle School,contrasting with Class 0011 in the same grade.During the process of chemistry teaching,emotional teaching strategy is operated on the experimented class,Class 005,but not upon Class 0011 which is taught in a conventional way.After more than half a year's experimental teaching quantitative and qualitative surveys are carried out upon the two classes,(by analysis of the questionnaire of the students' interest and attitude as well as the result,and by qualitative analysis upon the observations and interviews).The survey shows that,in the process of the experimented class chemistry teaching,the emotional teaching could not merely rectify the students attitude towards studies,promote the students interest in studies,but also reach the aim that emotion causes the aspiration to learn so as to improve the students achievement of studies and make it easy for the students to get on well the teachers.The experimental research,from the tentative experiment result,shows that it is not only possible to carry out the emotional teaching strategy during the couse of chemistry teaching ,but also obviously effective.However,because of our imperfect theory,the research ways and processes still need effort to improve and develop.
