Some Ideas About My Doings Of Evaluation Towards Students In The Teaching Of Junior Biology

Farseeing evaluation towards students, which is one of the focal points of the farseeing curriculum evaluation in our country's curriculum reformation of the new stage, reflects the gist of the conception that the new curriculum reformation aims at the development of every student.In view of all kinds of disadvantages of the evaluation towards students in the traditional examination education today, and based on the conception education today, and based on the conception of farseeing evaluation towards students of curriculum reform, I have made a practical one-year study of the -situation in light of the practical reality of our school and the features of biology. In this article, I have used the methods such as the method of observation, the method of behavior description (i.e. comments), the method of using portfolios, the method of public opinion poll etc besides the use of paper and pencil tests. In the evaluation contents, not only the students' basic knowledge and skills but also the students' experiments and performance are evaluated. In the activity of biological teaching, I try to encourage those students who are progressive and outstanding in study by means of commendation and praise. What's more, I allow the students to participate in the evaluation, in hope that they will be clear about the study objects and improve their subjective initiative.The outcome of practice shows that it is helpful for the teacher to teach students in accordance with their aptitudes, and it is helpful to improve the students' study interest, practical ability and creativity towards students in junior high schools, thus developing the students' subjective initiative in study.In a word, I am looking forward to the improvement of students' life-time study ability as a result of the initial development of quality and students through the farseeing evaluation towards students.
