Research On Management By Objective Applying To Teaching In College And Universities

The teaching quality of a university, not merely relates to the teaching level and academic level of this school, but also closely related to teaching management level of this school. In recent years, with the development of the society, economy, science and technology and change of demand for talent of high level, profound changes have taken place in management system, theory in running schools, enrollment obtain employment , speciality set up, training mold in colleges and universities. Teaching management, closely relevant with personnel training, also faces a lot of new problems, especially the amalgamated universities and colleges need us to reform and probe, to innovate management idea, management system, and operating mechanism.The management by objectives is a kind of modern science management theory, which aims at thorough participation, with the way to manage taking making, realize and measure the goal as the whole course. It is applied to business administration extensively, and has had enormous economic and social benefit. The teaching management of colleges and universities is the course in which a goal is to be realized. Introducing the theory of management by objectives can help us to strengthen and improve the teaching management of colleges and universities.Through analyzing the teaching administrative system of institution of higher education and basic principle of management by objectives, this paper has find out the feasibility of management by objectives applying in teaching management. The main research is how the management by objectives is applied to teaching management of colleges and universities, including the method of goal structuring system, the implementation of management by objectives and the system of effective science appraisal.
