Following the traditional proposition and material composition in China, a kind of new composition type emerged in the Chinese paper of college entrance examination at the end of the 20th century: Topic Composition, since its emergence, this kind of composition type become the mainstream type in composition teaching and examination at present. Viewed from its structure, it is mainly composed of" material", "cue "," topic" and " notice".In the early times of the human history, the people have scarce consciousness of subject and subjectivity confronting mysterious and august nature. With the liberation of the individuality, the subjectivity emerged in the Renaissance. Its connotation was enriched by the modern philosophy: from the close subjectivity to open intersubjectivity. However it has met with the fierce attack from postmodernism currently. Most Chinese scholar take on a calm attitude and consider that subjectivity can not be dissolved. Subjectivity has emerged in the educational field since 1980s. At present, one basic idea of Chinese curricular , reformation is respect of the students' subjectivity. There is abundant subjectivity connotation in Topic Composition. The students can show further subjectivity in their composition and in the activity. But because of various kinds of subjective and objective factors, the Topic Composition still meets some awkward dilemma in the course of practice. Therefore we are obliged to adopt calm attitude towards the Topic Composition. Atthe same time, the Topic Composition needs to be further developed in the future. Although we can't forecast the new composition type, we still can direct it chiefly along the track of the composition type.
