Trial Discussion On Education Of Life World

Life world is an academic term which is discussed by many western philosophers. Since Mr. E.Husserl put forward the concept of life world in the 20th century, some philosophy parties have paid much attention to it. Because different philosophers give different means to this term, and their attitudes to it are either positive or negative, so when life world is introduced to educational field, many people misunderstand it, some even confuse it with the term of everyday life. This article first deals with the meaning of this term. After making a distinction between science world and life world, it tells different meaning of life world from broad sense and narrow sense and distinguishes the two levels of the term: everyday life and non-everyday life. Then the author gives a brief review to the development course of education. Education springs from life world, which has many-sided interactions with education. Since educational organization comes into being, education begins to break away from life world, and manifests an abstract and objective character. With the development of science, education especially school education drifts apart from life world.From the view of life world, we can see that the educational world especially school educational world has been mainly occupied by science world, which pursues the objection of efficiency first and follows the principles of calculable, foreseeable and controllable. This has caused education to be put in an awkward predicament, which indicates education is out of life and life is out of education. Education-out-of-life means education pursues technology and efficiency one-sidedly, thus make it be far away from life world. Life-out-of-education means education especially school education rejects the educational value of everyday life, thus results the educational function of everyday life withered. To the plight circumstances of school education in our country, the author thinks the main reasons are epistemology of science and society-centered value inclination.Although in practice education takes on an technological and industrial character promoted by science, the field of educational thoughts has not given up the probing into the meaning of life world, of which the most representative ones are the theory of Education Life put forward by the American educator named John . Dewey and the theory of Life Education put forward by our educator named Tao xing-zhi. They talk about the relationship between life and education from different angles, in which the former emphasizes life meaning to education, while the latter stresses education meaning to life. The phenomenological padegogy that has become popular in Europe and America takes life world as methodology and formed a new subject named lifeworldpadegogy. Based on criticisms to practice and reviews to the educational thoughts, the author tries to conceive the prospect of life world education from the following aspects, which are Educational aims returning to reality world from ideal world, educational concepts returning to life world from symbol world, concerning the students from the public world to private world, the relationship between teachers and students returning to mutual contact from knowledge transmitting. In a word, life world is the precious spring of education and it is full of educational opportunities. Turning from the outside of life world to the inside of life world, education should pay more attention to the students' ideal and reality, requests and values, existence and development. After accomplishing that more and more people come into the competitive and full of opportunities non-everyday world from the narrow everyday space, education can still give people the sense of familiarity as being at home, help them to achieve the integrity and freedom of personality, and fulfill the true value of education-let a man be a man.
