Fear is one of the human basic emotions. Fear can be caused by different affairs at different stage, in different scenario in their growth process. The affairs of relevant study and school become one of the initial factor which arouse fear, after the children enter the school age period .The junior high school stage is a special period , in which the personal development with the nasty play of physiology function mature, the development of mental state fails to keep up with the pace of body development, so the development of mind and body lose the balance. School plays an important pole in the growth, development and social process of children. Implicit disservice of school may become the important source of arousing junior high school students' fear experience. If this kind of fear experience can't be appeased on time, they may be the important inducements of some kinds of emotion obstacle and a series of behavior problems such as play truant, abhor of study, even the teenager crime. But researches on the fear of school in junior high school now and not yet cause enough and thoughtful attentions. So this study aims at the construction of the structure of fear of school, develops the questionnaire of fear of school at the same time and understands the general characteristics of Junior High School Students' Fear of School. It will offer the reference to the research on the mental health of junior high school.This research is based on the extensive cultural heritage analyze and theories speculation, then forms the operational definition of fear of school and its construction of that fear. Then with the junior high school living in the Shandong province to research object, the questionnaire of fear of school has been developed. In the questionnaire establishment process, firstly part of junior high schools of Shandong province teachers, the Master' s graduate students majoring in the development and education psychology of ShandongVINormal University and 317 whole flocks at random for junior high school were be investigated with open type questionnaire, by which representational items were collected and formed the rough questionnaire. Secondly, 310 junior high school students of whole flocks at random were asked to finish the 86 items, then deleted the unqualified items. Finally 637 junior students were investigated with the modified questionnaire, and the formal questionnaire was formed which included 40 items, then the reliability and validity of the formal questionnaire were tested. What' s more, a close-ended questionnaire was distributed to investigate the status quo of junior high school students' fear of school in Shandong province, which included its features of genders , regions, grades and developments.In this range of research, it revealed that:(1) The results shew that the formal questionnaire of fear of school had good reliability and validity.- the Cronbach' s Alpha coefficient was 0.9145, the split-half coefficient was 0.8524; the content effect is 0.6938, and the correlation coefficient with FSSC- II and State-Trait anxiety questionnaire respectively were 0.717 and 0.412,the indicators of construction validity were x2/ df =1.834, CFI= 972, TLI=. 968, RMSEA=. 058.(2) The factor structure of fear of school comprised 7 dimensions: fear of interpersonal relationship, fear of learning, fear of physical injury, worry of future, fear of negative evaluation, fear of bad learning environment and fear of teacher' s punishment.(3) The order of the seven dimension of fear of school scored by the junior students living in Shandong province was : worry of future>fear of physical injury ) fear of interpersonal relationship ) fear of teacher' s punishment) fear of negative evaluation ) fear of learning ) fear of bad learning environment. The three most fear of junior in school were: not to go to the university in the future, not to go to the ideal senior high school, no friend.
