Teaching research is always the emphasis and difficulty in primary and secondary schools. The model of school-based teaching research reflects the requirements of the new curriculum and becomes a new approach to doing research efficiently. It is a key point of school-based teaching research to attach importance and give full play to the function of its working system. The mechanism of school-based teaching research is featured in its motivity, systematism, complexity and operability. The research involves a basic process of self-reflection of the teachers throughout their teaching practice and the cooperation studies are essential in the research. The aims of the teaching research work, the quality of the teachers and headmasters, and the conditions in which the system works have a deep impact on the mechanism of the school-based teaching research. Some strategies are put forward in this essay to promote the development of the school-based teaching research and the new curriculum as well: the subjective position of the teachers; the innovation of the school administration; the developmental evaluation of teachers; the reconstruction of school culture and a favorable external environment.
