Social life plays an important role in the development of human history. Nowadays, by widening the views of history study gradually, history circles pays special attention to the history of human social life and combines it with political, economic and cultural phenomena and tries hard to restore the original state of history. Social Life History has been reflected in a certain sense in middle school history teaching materials to fit in with the achievements of history study, however, it only possesses a rather low position in secondary school history teaching. To reinforce the content of Social Life History in secondary school history teaching can be beneficial to reflecting the great influence of social life upon the history of human development appropriately, to absorbing the latest research achievements of history circles and widening the knowledge system of history, to enhancing the combination of history study with real life and inspiring the students, to exhibiting the rich cultural heritages of the Chinese Nation and strengthening the national cohesive force. This paper discusses the importance of reinforcing Social Life History in secondary school from the point of history teaching and makes a preliminary research and study to the teaching of Social Life History in school practice and in the procession of launching self-established courses in our school. Both the teachers and the students benefit from the teaching practice of this subject and have got certain initial results.
