As an Olympic Key-Problem-Solving Project issued by Chinese General Administration of Sport and the urgent need to improve the training method for China Rowing Team, the thesis has fulfilled the research and development of the Specific Technique Training System on Land Rowing (STTSLR) and the Multi-Parameter Telemetering System on Rowing Training(MPTSRT),which is aimed to assist China Rowing Team to get a gold medal at Olympic Games in Beijing in 2008. Firstly, the training platform is designed according to the movement characteristics of rowing in STTSLR and the extended function is reserved for the use of other rowing types. After the investigation, analysis and comparison, the magnetic detent is chosen to be a resistance source, which enables the automatic control of the drag. On the basis of the analysis and experiment of all kinds of the angle displacement sensors, the photoelectric angle displacement coder with good performance is used to measure the angle. A microchip and the intelligent peripheral interface form the hardware of the system, which assure the real-time accurate data acquisition and system control. For the purpose of the visualization in training, a friendly interface is designed to improve the practicability of the system. First of all, according to the coach's request, the stroke rate and the heart rate are chosen to measure in MPTSRT, which extracts the signal by the dry-spring tube and the heart rate belt. After the data calculation in the microchip, the results are displayed in LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) and saved in E2PROM (Electrical Erasable Programmable Read-Only Memory). The mature product is adopted in the wireless transmission module, which is controlled by the microchips. The data in E2PROM can be transmitted to the computer via a serial port. The computer can realize the conservation, tracing, analysis and printing of the data. A great deal of system tests and the primary experiments verify the good performance of the two systems. The thesis firstly presents the magnetic detent to be a drag source in the land rowing training. It also develops the first STTSLR in China with the good characteristics of the electrically quantifiable adjustment, which improves the scientific training level of China rowing. MPTSRT solves the problem, which is that the Chinese rowing coach can not get the training data of the rowers timely. Therefore, the system is very practicable.
